For more than a decade Globalbit has been promoting Smart Transportation in Israel and around the world. Globalbit collaborates with successful start-ups, such as Moovit, and with major public transportation operators.

Egged, the largest national public transportation company in Israel, chose Globalbit to implement company's mobile applications as part of a strategic move to enter the digital domain. The company thereby plans to provide most of its information services through digital infrastructure, increase the number of public transportation users and give them more advanced, faster and more accurate service.

Globalbit was chosen mainly due to its high competence and multiple achievements in development of intelligent public transportation systems. In this project, Globalbit took full responsibility for the development of Egged's main application, and, by implementing the advanced technologies, extended the application use and brought it a great success.

In addition to “normal” public transportation features, Globalbit developed “Titak” – a service that provides a quick and easy car-hailing service in big cities. Users can pick a short and convenient travel route from the starting point to the destination point, and then order a ride. For the users of the Luxury Taxi service, a seat is reserved upon the order. The vehicle picks up a passenger from the starting point to the destination at an affordable price.

On its way to success, Globalbit met complex technological challenges and efficiently integrated its modules with the intelligent public transportation systems developed by the technologically-leading companies. As a pioneering provider of mobile applications for the wide public, in this project Globalbit puts a premium on users and aims to give them a best experience – technologically advanced, nice and friendly.
