What makes Zetra different from Strava or Nike Run Club?
Strava records what you did and shows you a chart afterwards. Nike Run Club plays the same pre-recorded audio for everyone. Zetra is the world's first AI coach that coaches you while you run — reading your heart rate, pace and cadence every second and talking to you in real time, the entire run.
What does "coaches you during the run" actually mean?
An engine on your Apple Watch reads your live state every second and reasons about it against your plan, last night's sleep, today's weather and your safety zones. When something matters — your heart rate climbing, an interval starting, your cadence dropping — it speaks to you through your AirPods: "Slow down, your heart rate is climbing." Not a summary afterwards. While it's happening.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
Yes. The live coaching runs on Apple Watch, using its heart-rate and motion sensors to read your body as you run — that's the whole point of Zetra. The iPhone app is the hub for your plan, post-run analysis and trends. Zetra is Apple-only by design; there's no Android version.
I'm not really a runner. Is this for me?
Especially for you. Pick the Couch-to-5K goal and the coach builds a conservative plan and runs the very first one beside you — easing you in, watching your heart rate, keeping you in a pace you can actually hold. It's built to take first-timers to their first 5K.
I've tried running before and quit. Why would this be different?
Zetra asks what actually stopped you last time — breathing, heavy legs, no time, motivation, an old injury — and then the coach watches for exactly that, including live during the run. "Your heart rate is climbing because your breathing is shallow — slow your inhale." It coaches the real reason, not a generic plan.
Is the AI actually good enough?
It reads your heart rate every second of the run and reasons about what to say next, with safety limits matched to your level. If the signal drops mid-run it falls back to on-device guidance so the coaching never goes silent. It's AI, and we're proud of that — it's why it can run with you on every single run for a fraction of what a human coach costs.
How does the free trial and pricing work?
The first seven days are free. The yearly plan is the best value; you can manage or cancel anytime from the App Store before the trial ends and you won't be charged. Prices are shown in the App Store in your local currency.
How do I restore my subscription on a new device?
Sign in with the same Apple ID, open Zetra, and choose Restore Purchases in settings. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID, not the device.
What health data does Zetra use?
With your permission, Zetra reads from Apple HealthKit only what it needs to coach you — heart rate, VO2Max, resting heart rate, sleep and your workout history. It's used to coach you and nothing else. We don't sell it and we don't share it with advertisers. You can revoke access in the Health app at any time. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
Does Zetra replace a human coach?
It's the closest thing most runners will ever have to an elite coach on every single run — at a fraction of the cost of a weekly human session. If you have a human coach you trust, keep them. Zetra runs the kilometres in between.
